So the past couple days, I noticed that #rememberwhen was a trending topic on Twitter. I remember writing a poem in 6th grade called Remember When, so I decided to share it with everyone. Let me know what you think of it. :) Remember that I wrote this in 6th grade, so sorry if it sucks. Haha.

Remember When

When you were always happy.

When you had no idea what was going on and loved it.

When Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, and The Easter Bunny were real.

When your most important decision was to either go on the monkey bars or play Tag during recess.

When no one cared what you wore or what you looked like.

When everything was perfect.

When your only drama was when your best friend stole your oreos during lunch.

When the worst thing you could get from boys were cooties.

When Mommy and Daddy were your heroes.

When you wanted to be exactly like them.

When they fixed your every single problem.

When getting high meant on the swings at the playground.

When kissing a boo boo made all the pain go away.

When your worst enemies were the doctors and dentists.

When race issues were about who ran the fastest.

When getting married meant you and the person you liked swung at the same speed on the swings.

When war was just a simple card game.

When school was easy and fun.

When the only fake people you knew were Barbie, Ken, and GI Joe.

When the only way your friends could dissappear was in a game of Hide and Seek.

When life was carefree and simple.

Remember when all you wanted to do was just grow up?

Welll now that you're all grown up, the thing you want most is to be a little kid again.

I'm really happy right now. I had a lazy weekend and I'm perfectly fine with that. I didn't have any homework. I found the charger to my camera so I can take pictures. I just ordered lots of GK Shirts. Yay sales! I can land a flip on my trampoline. ANDDDD. The AP Tour changed their Pittsburgh date from September 24th to November 15th. My mom wouldn't let me go on the 24th because of the G-20 Summit. If you don't know what that is, it's where 20 leaders of the world's 20 most important economies come to Pittsburgh to talk about economic/other problems with the president. There's going to be a bunch of protesters, policemen, and probably a riot down there. My history teacher showed me a video of a riot in Seattle a couple years ago, and it was just complete madness. There were policemen beating people, tear gas, people running everywhere. I think it took like 36 overs to stop the riot. Woww. Maybe it's just me, but I think that it would be an interesting experience to actually see what downtown would be like. So yeah, I get to go. I'm so excited.

How was everyone's weekend? (: 

Today, Selena Gomez's band, Scene, released their first single "Falling Down". The song basically sounds like a typical Disney song. I personally think that Selena should just stick to acting, but that's just my opinion. It reminds me of a wannabe Avril Lavigne, but I actually liked her back then. What ever happened to Avril anyway?

Even if she named the band Scene as a joke, I still think it's incredibly lame and stupid. "Guess what. I'm listening to Scene." Just saying that out loud makes me sound like an idiot. The song titles are ehhh. Like we haven't heard of them before.. "As A Blonde" What? Last time I checked she was brunette.. Hahahh I just pictured her as a blonde. Oh dear. Please stay brunette, Selena. If you plan on buying the album, it will be released September 29th.

Today is my last day of Summer, but it feels like fall. It's FREEEEZING. Well kinda. The sun comes out every half hour or so but then goes away. It's so annoying. I'm in skinny jeans and a hoodie right now. If you're going back to school shopping, get jeans at Pacsun or Forever 21. They're so comfy and cheap. Well Pacsun is kind of expensive, but worth it. The other day I bought 3 pairs of jeans from Forever 21 for about $45 TOTAL. :) I would be going to the SKAD/Summer To Remember show tonight but I have school tomorrow. :( Check out The Scene Aesthetic, The Color Fred, The Ready Set, Stephen Jerzak, and Tyler Williams.  I think I'm getting sick. I've used half the tissue box and it's hard to breathe through my nose. Ah.

I feel like Summer went by incredibly fast. I didn't do much. I just went to a couple shows, NYC, DC, and VA Beach with some family. I rarely saw my friends because I was on vacation when they were home or vise versa. I haven't seen my bestfriend in over a month and she's my neighbor. Sad.

Everyday this summer I've been going to sleep around 4 in the morning and waking up at 12 or 1. Isomnia is greattt. I have to get up at 6 in the morning tomorrow. My mom woke me up at 9 today and that was a pain.

I have to organize all my school supplies (I'm a neat freak) and figure out who my teachers are. My schedule only gives us the room number and not the teacher. WTH. And I have like no classes with my close friends. I have 1 more chapter to read of the long boring book, Haroun and the Sea of Stories. Has anyone ever read it? If you haven't, don't. If and when I finish the book, I have to write a paper on the charachter's identity and how it changes and all that crap. Doesn't that sound like soooo much fun?

My camera is currently dead. I can't find the plug to charge it. The plug also lets me upload pictures to the computer. AHHH. I've searched every single inch of my house and can't find it anywhere. :( I've been wanting to get a new camera. Is Nikon or Canon better?

Since school is starting, I probably won't be on Buzznet alot. : I'm going to try and finish the book right now. Pshh, yeah right. I have such a small attention span. Hahah. Summer reading is so stupid and a waste of my time. I wish there was Sparknotes for it. FML.

If you haven't heard yet, Cute Is What We Aim For has broken up. Earlier this week, Shaant's Twitter said: "I'm going solo.Thank you for every inkling of support."

In a recent interview, Dave Melillo, bassist, said "At the beginning of August I let Shaant know I was leaving the band. At the beginning of July Mikey, Jeff, some family friends, and I sat down with Shaant. We told him the things he needed to change as far as attitude and demeanor goes. I want to make it known that I shut him out of my life after that. He needed to be on his own if he was going to do anything positive for himself. There was not a visible change in his attitude or work ethic when I got back to Buffalo, so I decided to live my own life." Jeff Czum, guitarist, quit the band at the same time as Dave did.

I knew this band was going to eventually break up because they went through so many replacements over the past 3 years, but I didn't think it would happen now. I didn't even get to see them live. :( Cute wasn't my absolute favorite band, but I would listen to them alot. My favorite song will always be Newport Living. It reminds me of highschool and it's just catchy and fun.

It should be interesting to see what Shaant has in stores for us. What's your favorite CIWWAF song?

Okay, so last night, I watched this special on ABC called "The Outsiders". I don't know if you did, but it was pretty interesting. I personally don't believe in aliens, but some of the stuff they were talking about freaks me out. Haha. I couldn't sleep last night. I'm so lame. ABC showed a video of this "alien" trying to climb into a window with it's pale hands. Ahhh, creepyness! One guy claims an alien abucted him and he has a bunch of marks from "aliens" on him. I don't know. It was weird. You just had to watch it to understand what I'm talking about.

My brothers and couldn't sleep, so we just stayed up watching CSI: Miami (that show is so addicting!), talking about school (We start on Monday. :( ), and we made a list of band names. We were bored so this is what we came up with. It's basically just the opposite of the original band names. Most of them are stupid, but we had a good time thinking of them. So this is going to be a boringish journal.

Hey!! Thank you so much for reading my Current Obessions journals. I hope you guys liked the bands I've written about so far. Here are the rest of my obessions for August.

1. Brighten

Does anyone know if Brighten is still together?! Justin has been playing guitar with A Rocket To The Moon (the tour dates for their fall tour have been posted if you haven't checked yet) for a while, so I have no idea. They said they were working on some new songs, but they haven't updated their myspace in a while.They were named one of Purevolume's top unsigned bands in 2008. Their songs are indie-rockish. I'm in love with 'King vs. Queen' Every single song on it is a win. Does anyone know where I can buy their EP 'Early Love' ? It's not on iTunes and I can't find it anywhere! :(

2. Vega Under Fire

This alternative rock-punk pop bands from Naples, FL. Listening to Vega Under Fire's album 'Life Of The Party' makes me want to dance. I'm listening to it now and I can hardly sit still. Seriously. Listen for youself and tell me if you can sit still or not. You will fall in love with the synths, powerful bass, and guitar. Listen to the song Catapult. I think Derek from Mayday Parade is in it. At 3:57ish, do you think it sounds like Derek from Mayday Parade? Yes/No? They were also named one of Purevolume's top unsigned bands in 2008. Yay for Purevolume discovering awesome bands! :D

3. Stephen Jerzak

I just wanted to say that Stephen is absolutely ADORABLE! His music reminds me alot of Never Shout Never, but I personally think that he's better than Christofer.. Maybe it's cuz that there's a song called 'Jenny, You're A Mystery' Haaha. This August, he is going to be on the A Summer To Remember Tour with The Scene Aesthetic, The Ready Set, The Color Fred, and Tyler Brown Williams. He has 2 EPs out right now that you can buy for about $5 on iTunes. Peace.Love.Truth. is my favorite. You can also follow him on Twitter.

4. Mercy Mercedes

 I saw them in May with Forever The Sickest Kids and they were pretty good live. This was the first time I have ever heard of him. They got the crowd going crazy. Especially during the song 'The Perfect Scene' I remember being elbowed in the rib and getting covered in everyone else's sweat during their set. Ew. I think Tina Parol was on before them and people just kinda stood there. Haha. You can download their EP on iTunes for $5.94. But if you don't want to, I suggest at least buying 'Shiver Me Timbers' or 'Dr. Huxtable'.They will be playing a couple shows in September with Stereo Skyline, The Ready Set, and Tina Parol in September. They will also be playing a couple shows at six flags and posting a cover song soon. So keep checking their myspace for updates.

5. The Record Life

I love The Record Life. All the songs are catchy and well written. Jake's voice is original. Who doesn't love a guy who can sing and play the piano?! You're crazy if you don't. I know some bands don't have the time to respond to myspace comments, but Jake does. I don't have a myspace, but it always makes me happy when bands comment me back on facebook or twitter. So if you want him to come to your city, leave him a comment on his myspace. He will respond, and if he doesn't, show him this journal saying he should. Tell him to get a Buzznet too. Haha. Throughout September, TRL will be touring with We Shot The Moon (I don't know if you remember them from my first Current Obsessions, but check them out if you haven't yet!) You can buy the Souldier EP for $3.96. I'm in love with every single song on it. And follow him on Twitter.

I didn't want to chose a Cobra Starship, All Time Low, or The Maine song because alot of people would probably use it so I chose a song by one of my favorite bands. This Providence.

I love this song so much. It's more of a love song than a Summer song, but that's okay. It can be a Summer love song. :) Isn't Summer all about going to the beach, relaxing, and partying? Doesn't everyone want to fall in love especially in the Summer?  This song proves that it's easy to do.

I'm always singing and listening to it all the time- especially at night because it's so calming. Dan's voice is beautiful. It's one of my favorite to hear them play live. Dan + guitar. It doesn't get much better than that. Plus, there is always sand in my shoes. :P So I'll always have a part of the beach with me everywhere I go.

The sound quality kinda sucks, but here's Dan playing Sand In Your Shoes at the Pittsburgh acoustic show. I was watching it and I noticed that the girl with the black hair looked really familiar.. Then I realized it was me. Hahah.

Crazyish stuff kind of happened last night. No, I didn't do drugs or drink. That stuff is LAMEEE and a waste of my time. Unfortunately, I have seen what it can do to people. The effects are can be powerful. It's sad. Basically, you think you know someone and they do something totally outrageous that you never thought they would do. Go tell your bestfriends/family you love them. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I'm pretty sure someone already wrote a journal of their favorite quotes from John Ohhh.. Oh welll. It doesn't hurt to read them again. Haaha. Some of these made me laugh hysterically. I especially love the ones about life.

You see, John is among the list of people I look up to. No, not because he's $Ofr3@K1Ngh@wtLyKOmG *Cough* Crazy fan girls. *Cough* No. I look up to him because I think that some of the things he says are so inspriational and I like way he views his life. He's always posistive. I love how he can be so chill and carefree, but he's serious when he knows he has to be. I think it's awesome that they go out every night and do what they love -  performing to hundreds of people. You would come across some challenges and problems, but it would also be so much fun. A different city every night. I would love to do that, but the chances of that happening to me are like zero. I love watching their In Person Documentary. At one point, he said he'll keep on doing what he loves doing as long as there are people coming out to their shows. I know The Maine will continue growing and I really hope they reach out to everyone with their music. I want my grandkids to know who they are. Hahahh. They deserve the chance to be world known. And no matter what happens, I will be supporting them the whole way.

I remember spring/summer of 2007, they only had a couple hundred friends on myspace. Now, they have over 200,000. I'm so proud of them and all their accomplishments. I could go on for hours about how much I love this band. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to meet anyone from The Maine. They always come on a week day or the show is sold out. :( Boys Like Girls is posting some tour dates on their myspace on Monday, and I'm crossing my fingers for them to come to Pittsburgh. If they go to Altoona or Allentown (no offense to anyone who lives there) instead of Pittsburgh, I will be so mad. But when that day comes, I will truly be on of the happiest girls on this planet. So to anyone who has had the chance to meet them, you are so lucky. I want to thank them for making such good music, doing what they want to do/following their dreams, being the awesome people they are, and telling me to be me.

Okay, ranting time. You know what really bothers me. Rumors. Stop spreading them. And hearing stories where fans ask band members to be the father of their babies or if they can have their numbers. It's kinda creepy.. Put your feet in their shoes, would you want people you didn't really know asking to have sex with you and for your number? I wouldn't, but maybe that's just me. Their personal lives and band life are two different things. It really bothers me when people talk about their personal lives. I wouldn't want people I don't know talking about my issues. Would you? I was in the maine chat thingy and all these girls could talk about was how hot John was. Hellooo! There are other people in the band too. Their names are Kennedy, Garrett, Jared, and Pat if you didn't know. Just saying. Looks aren't anything. Okay I'm done ranting. Here are my favorite quotes of his.

If you were to change one thing about the world, what would you change?

Answer: This goes back to my wishes. I would want there to be no war. Everyone would be happy and get along. There would be world peace. I'm such a hippie.. Haaha.

Would you rather live underwater or in outerspace. What planet?

Answer: I think it would be pretty sweet to live in outerspace, but it would get so boring. Because it's just space. Sure there are planets (aliens?!), but other than that, it's just air and nothing. It's space. Obviously. I would want to live under water. It would be so much fun to explore all the sea creatures, plants, abandon ships.

GGGB Acoustic Vicky-T's voice is so pretty. I love it. I'm not used to acoustic Cobra Starship songs, but it's pretty good. Random thought.. I've never seen Gabe in regular jeans before.. Haahah.

Thanks for all the feedback. It was cool seeing who liked Converse or Vans more. Everyone had awesome wishes. Wouldn't it be cool though, if you were granted a wish when you were born? One wish only and you can't wish for more wishes. Oh and can anyone else think of a better name for this. I feel like 'I want to learn more about you' is kinda lame.. Haha. I've decided I'm going to post one of these everyday for the second and fourth weeks of the month since I post Current Obessions on the first and third Monday of the month.

Question of the day: Did you watch the Teen Choice Awards? If you did, what did you think of it?

Answer: I personally think the TCA are getting worse and worse each year. I watched until Black Eyed Pees sang 'I Gotta Feeling' because my tv froze for some reason? I don't really like them. Remember when Fergie made that song called Fergalicious? I can only remember her spelling out her name, the london bridge, and it being so annoying. It would always be stuck in my head.  But anywhooo, why were The Jonas brothers hosting it? C'mon, really. And What was up with the 'Dare The Jonas Brothers'? So stupid. I can't believe that guy actually cut Joe's hair. Or was he wearing a wig? I'm sorry, but whenever Miley Cyrus came out in that oufit during 'Party in the USA', I wanted to rip my ears/eyes out. What was she wearing?! No one wants to see your bra, Miley. Put some clothes on! I just wanted to say that Ed Westick pretty much has the hottest accent ever besides Dan Young from This Providence. Hah. I want to see My Sister's Keeper soo badly. I love Cameron Diaz. Oh and am I the only one that thinks Megan Fox ISN'T attractive? She has pretty eyes, but I don't see the huge excitement over her. That's all I saw because I got distracted with reading some fan fics. 

    Hey Monday        or    VersaEmerge

Answer: As much as I love Hey Monday, I'm going to have to go with VersaEmerge. Maybe it's because I've listened to 'Hold On Tight' way too much. Hey Monday is so good live though. Whenever Cassadee played 6 Months acoustic, omg it was so pretty. I can't even describe it.  I love her voice. I still have to see VersaEmerge live. My favorite songs are 'The Hider' and 'Clocks'. VE is just more rockish. Hopefully, I'll get to see them with Cobra Starship, A Rocket to the Moon, Boys Like Girls, and The Maine. They are on that tour right? I still have to listen to Hot Mess. I've been out all day and haven't gotten the chance to buy it. What do you think of it? When does ARTTM's album come out? Has anyone seen Devin's new haircut?! :(

Hello awesome Buzznet people,

I wanted to say thanks for all the comments/buzzes on the Converse/Hey Monday picture. :) It got me thinking that I want to do a journal/survey type thing with a question of the day or week. The questions will be about everything. Bands, family, life, problems, childhood, favorite stuff. I don't know. Whatever pops into my head. Haahah. I'll put pictures in it too because they are just awesome and make everything more fun. It's just something random and fun to do. 

Everyone I have met so far on here has been so cool/nice/funny/sweet/awesome. Haaha. Just like the title says, I want to learn more about you.

FTSK will be going to about 30 cities for a short tour in the fall with The Rocket Summer and some other bands that they haven't announced yet. Hey Everyoneee!

I'm backkk. I got back from the beach yesterday and look what I found today..

All Time Low made a new song for the movie, Jennifer's Body. It's called Toxic Valentine. I kinda like it but kinda don't? It doesn't sound like them..  I'm just going to keep listening to it. I think I might just see the movie for the soundtrack, which looks AMAZING!! Is that lame? Haaha. Fueled By Ramen will release the soundtrack on August 25th.

FOREVER. Haha. Not really.. I love Buzznet too much. :)

 I'll be at VA Beach all of this week and maybe next week. My parents always change their minds. So I don't really know when I'll be back.. I won't have any internet, so I won't be able to look at the amazing pictures you guys post or read any fan fics. :( Whenever I get back, I'll be posting another Current Obessions journal. I hope everyone has liked the bands I've written about so far.

Okay, well I gotta go finish packing. I leave in a half an hour. I love procastinating. :P
